MJ on Jane Lynch Tour

Drummer/music educator/Aquarian artist Matt Johnson, a long-time member of the Tony Guerrero Quintet (TGQ) has been contracted along with the TGQ to join the “An Evening with Jane Lynch” 2014/15 concert tour. This marks the inaugural tour of the Emmy Award-winning comedian/actress/singer Jane Lynch (Glee, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Best in Show), and the TGQ will be an integral part of the show, appearing as both a featured act and providing musical support to Ms. Lynch and her special guests, including actress Kate Flannery (The Office) and vocalist and vocal coach to the stars, Tim Davis (Glee, American Idol, Academy Awards). The 13-date US tour (as of press time) features engagements in California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, as well as the filming of a live concert special for television in Alexandria, Virginia.

March 29, 2015 – Capitol Theater – Clearwater, FL

April 9, 2015 – UC Davis – Davis, CA

April 10, 2015 – Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco, CA

September 12, 2015 – Carlsen Center, Overland Park, KS

Considered one of the West Coast’s most versatile drummers, the Los Angeles Times called Matt Johnson, “a hurricane on sticks!” He has performed with a wide range of musical personalities, including singers Julie Andrews and Andy Williams, comedians Rich Little, Steve Allen and the Smothers Brothers, surf rock pioneers Jan and Dean, and big band legends Billy May and Les Brown. Johnson also currently tours with American actor and singer James Darren.
