The Wicked Tinkers/Packet Of 3 — Visit Keith's website
Keith is not your everyday drummer. He boasts more than three decades of experience and an incredibly diverse drumming language. In 1992 Keith furthered his career by going to Hollywood's Percussion Institute of Technology, and he won a CMAA Rising Drummer Award in 1996.
He has played every style imaginable from Rock & Roll, Jazz, Country, R&B, and has traveled the globe playing with many top bands. He is also their first call for a drummer when they need someone they can count on for a session or tour.
Keith started playing with Wicked Tinkers in 2000, pioneers of the growing Tribal Celtic movement the Tinkers play haunting, heart-pounding bagpipes and irresistible tribal drums. Don't think this is dry, dusty music for museum shelves Wicked Tinkers merge the best of modern, almost rock-and-roll energy with the hypnotic, insistent grooves of their Gaelic ancestors. Rare is the bystander who comes away without feeling a surprising, sometimes bewildering connection to long-forgotten primal emotions ... half-memories of ages past and experiences nameless yet somehow familiar. They have 6 CD’s out worldwide.
Keith also plays with Packet of 3, a British Blues trio built on the history of their predecessors from the 60's by including elements of soul, pop, and even the punk sound that did not exist back then, to create a modern version of British Blues, steeped in tradition, but extremely entertaining and accessible to a contemporary audience. They will be coming out in the early 2012 with a new 15 song CD.
