About
In 1992 he moved back to Las Vegas and put together one of Las Vegas’ best Rock bands with his brother Ray called, The World. They went on to winning awards for “Best New Band” and “Biggest Draw” at KOMP 92.3 Awards Show. They also received heavy airplay and did interviews live on the 92.3’s Home Grown Show. They also made an appearance on KVVU Fox 5 TV. At that time Kevin appeared in several editions of Modern Drummer Magazine endorsing Aquarian Power Sleeve Drum sticks.
After the band THE WORLD he met the guys from Fact Meets Fiction. They hit it off right from the start and Kevin was asked to join the band. Fact Meets Fiction’s performances and great progressive music created a lot of talk in the Las Vegas Rock scene which, landed them the opening gig for Great White at Cashman Stadium and LA Gun’s at the Huntridge Theatre. FMF headed to LA to record their CD with legendary recording engineer, Bill Matoyer at Bill’s Place Studios in Van Nuys, California. The band went on playing in support of the new CD. They continued to open up and headline shows in Las Vegas.
After Fact Meets Fiction’s demise he met up with a band called, Liquid Skye.
Kevin’s influences and writing style helped structure a new modern rock style with heavy hooks and solid breaks. The band was picked by KOMP to record on their Kompilation CD. They ended up opening for Slash of Guns & Roses/Snakepit, Joan Jett, UFO, Enuff-Z-Nuf, XYZ and many others major acts at the House of Blues and other popular Rock Clubs in Las Vegas.
One treasured moment of Kevin’s was when Jason Bonham gave him the thumbs up during his performance opening up for UFO.
He recently helped with Rock Camp providing them with Aquarian Drum Heads and accessories. He is a Percussive Arts Society member and an ASCAP member.
Kevin is currently a freelance musician who does session work for MGM and performing with various artists in Las Vegas and Chicago.
