About

"Phil Martin has built up a growing reputation for his solid and powerful Rock drumming, both in the recording studio, and the live arena.
His first professional band - London-based high octane rockers TOKYO DRAGONS - toured and recorded regularly, eventually leading him to the opportunity of taking the drum 'throne' with THE QUIREBOYS.
His style giving them a stronger backbone, while playing an important role in helping return them to the highs they enjoyed years before.

JOE ELLIOTT'S DOWN 'N' OUTZ and THE UNION (feat Luke Morley ex-Thunder) have both recently enjoyed Phil's studio and live prowess.
2010 sees no less than three LPs released, featuring his groovy backbeats.

Still in the ascendancy of his career, Phil has been lucky to record with some well respected producers: Pedro Ferreira, Nigel Godrich, Kurt Bloch, Ronan McHugh, Joe Elliott, Luke Morley and Nick Brine, to name but a few.
He's also toured and played alongside the likes of Mott The Hoople, Status Quo, Def Leppard, Thunder, Ian Hunter, Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers, Danko Jones, Dan Baird, Pavement.

Professionally taught from a young age by his mentor, Colin Wilkinson (Herts), covering genres such as Big Band Swing, Jazz, Rock/Pop, Latin American, Funk and Heavy Rock.
Vast orchestral experience was also attained during his formative years."
