New Drumheads From Aquarian!
Aquarian is pleased to announce the addition of two new drumhead models to its expanding product line. The Triple Threat snare drumhead and the Force Ten tom tom heads.
Triple Threat – "Triple Ply Technology" makes this all new drumhead possible. Three plies of 7mil Full-Range drumhead film are molded to act as one powerful, strong snare drumhead. Aquarian’s advanced molding procedures make this Triple Threat drumhead durable and powerful, yet responsive. This snare head can be used in a variety of musical settings but is particularly well suited for Hard Rock and Metal.
Force Ten – Force Ten drumheads are molded with two plies of 10mil Full-Range drumhead film. Aquarian’s advanced molding procedures make these heads a powerful and durable head for tom toms. Force Ten drumheads are designed to have more attack, depth and durability than conventional two ply tom tom heads. These tom tom heads can be used in a variety of musical settings but are particularly well suited for Hard Rock and Metal. Available Clear or Texture Coated.

Theft at the Messe!!
Well, this is the first day of the 2011 Musik Messe in Frankfurt Germany and what a day it has been! The new Miditronix Aquarian inHEAD acoustic/electronic trigger drumhead has created such a stir that some person or persons actually stole one out of our booth sometime last night or early this morning. Everyone at Aquarian and Miditronix are extremely excited about the new products under development and apparently others are too! There were other more expensive pieces of equipment to be had but the thieves only took the inHEAD and the inBOX. In a odd sort of way we are flattered. To those that took the inHEAD, glad you like the technology we’ve developed. On a positive note, Aquarian was pleased to hear that the inHEAD was nominated for a MIPA award at the show this year. inHEAD In The Studio Preview!
We recently spent the day in the studio with Aquarian artist Mike Bennett having fun with the new inHEAD drumhead and its endless possibilities. This little clip shows the acoustic sound of the inHEAD blended with the Roland TD20X module. The inHEAD is on the snare and the floor tom. Mike cooked up a unique percussion patch on the TD20X that the inHEAD is triggering to sit underneath the acoustic sound of the snare and floor tom. We had a great time pulling in Addictive Drums sounds as well which we then blended with the acoustic sound and the Roland sounds. Stay tuned for more video that will demonstrate and explain the world of possibilities that the inHEAD is capable of delivering. MIDItronix, Aquarian and inHEAD… Shaping the future of percussion!

Damion Reid Signature Snare Drum
Master craftsman Adrian Kirchler has just released a “Damion Reid signature model snare drum.” According to Adrian, the idea came from hearing Damion play live which inspired him to create a drum that captured Reid’s sound and performance demands. Damion says, “I was taken back and the honor was a tad unexpected. The drum looks amazing and sounds great!” Currently, the only people in the United States that have the drum are Steve Maxwell Vintage Drums. There is a 5.5″ model and a 7″ model that are available.
