BIOGRAPHY

Col Hatchman (born February 2, 1975 in Bris-vegas, Australia) is an Australian musician, songwriter and the official Guinness World Record’s “Loudest Drummer in the World”.Hatchman’s trail of explosive live performances over the past two decades has seen him propel the engine room of phenomenal rock bands such as the world renowned Screaming Jets and Nat Col & the Kings. His unique style and drum kit set-up with the signature custom high hi-hat has commanded the stages of nearly every club, stadium and arena in Australia.Col has graced the stage with an excessive list of show stopping and disfiguring injuries, but only once has the ‘ambulance to emergency room transport’ been required to finale a tour. The turbulence of physical injury has not miraculously finished at the edges of his skin, as his equipment breakage pile is sizeable enough to build a big brother for ‘Optimus Prime’.Passion and dedication to the art of drumming aside, Hatchman is also a songwriter, an instructor of rhythmical artistry and a sustainable food farmer.More recently, Col created the Hatchman Drum Corp, Australia’s biggest junior Drum Corp located in the Hunter Valley, NSW Australia. He is currently working on a creative project with a different flavour due for release in 2016.
