Pepe Magana
Pepe Clarke Magaña is a professional drummer, educator, and music entrepreneur from Juarez, Mexico. He is currently the drummer for industrial metal pioneers Ministry, heavy rock band KYNG, and hardcore band Strife. A student of Musicians Institute and Berklee College of Music, Pepe began his touring career with Ankla, performing on Ozzfest ’07, followed by a European tour with Dååth. He later joined Strife, touring throughout North and South America, Europe, and Japan. In 2009, Pepe co-founded KYNG, releasing four albums and touring extensively across North America and the UK in support of these releases. He currently tours with Ministry and recorded drums on the band’s upcoming album, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery). In 2016, Pepe opened Let There Be Rock School in El Paso, Texas, a performance-based music school dedicated to developing the next generation of musicians. In February 2026, he expanded that mission with the opening of Apple Tree Creative Center, a nonprofit, all-ages music venue and creative space serving the El Paso community.
